Reality TV star Vicky Pattison has been announced as patron of The Chronicle Sunshine Fund's Go Banana's appeal.

The charity, of which Pattison's mum Caroll is fund director, is also supported by Ant and Dec, and aims to help disabled children in her hometown of Newcastle. Pattison commented 'It's a charity that is very close to my heart, especially with my mam being the fund director and being based in the North East. It really does do incredible work throughout the entire region'.
